Perfect gift for a seamstress!

 What an amazing find!

$215.00

This is a pre-1930, Western Electric sewing machine with wooden base, wooden case, foot
pedal, attached electric light, and multiple sewing attachments and accessories!
The ornate black metal machine sits on a wooden base.  The metal machine has gold,
red and green painted, Oriental-style details, including a dragon on the center base.
The base also says, "Made in USA", in addition to Western Electric on the arm.
The electric motor on the back is an "EMC" and there is also an attached work light
on the same side as the motor.
The wooden base has a slide tray that holds multiple accessories and attachments,
including three bobbins (there is also one inside the machine).
The curved, wooden case cover has "Western Electric" stenciled on the front and
etched trees on the ends.  The cover locks in place and has a carry handle on top.
The metal foot pedal has an electric plug and then a plug that attaches into the wooden
base of the machine.
There is damage to the front of the wooden cover, next to the stencil; there is some
bubbling and peeling in the veneer in several places on the cover.  No broken areas
or cracks, but a lot of wear from many years of handling, use and storage.
I WOULD NOT pick this up by the handle.
The wooden base shows some wear, as well, with nicks/scratches and wear in the
finish, especially at the corners and edges.  The built-in tray slides open easily.
The metal of the machine has some scratching from use, with a few areas of damage
in the finish - nicks and a deeper chip in the paint on the top, near the wheel.  There
is wear in the gold paint, as well as the silver metal finish.  The paint on the metal
foot pedal is chipped and missing from lots of use.
The light works at the time of this listing.  The belt on the machine is broken
so it is NOT TESTED, and I would be worried about plugging it or the pedal in
anyway, as it looks like they need new cords.  The previous owner said the machine
did work prior to the belt being broken.   The belt is included for reference.
