About Us

 The Lawrence County Humane Society is a 501(c) (3), non-profit organization.  The long-time Director of the Humane Society is Linda Collier.  We are located at Moffett's Corner, just across the railroad tracks, south on IL Route 1 in Lawrenceville, IL.

The Humane Society is funded solely by donations.  The no-kill shelter provides homes for stray and abandoned dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and breeds.  

You may stop by to visit but it is advised to call ahead to schedule an appointment, as Linda may be "out back" or on "a mission" for the animals during the day.  She can be reached at 618-943-4439 from 8am to 3pm Mon-Sat or 618-943-5368 from 6pm to 8pm Mon-Sat.  Visits can be scheduled on Sunday, as well, but please call during the hours listed.
